Holiday Wrap Party with Snapchat!

We kicked off the season with a joyful holiday wrap party hosted by Snapchat, who co-sponsored our December 13th project Angel Wings Holiday event. From wrapping gifts to sharing stories, it was a powerful reminder that when communities come together, magic happens. Thank you so much to our great friends at  Snapchat for creating a space filled with generosity and heart! Watch the behind the scenes and highlights of our fun event HERE!

CLF’s Project Angel Wing Holiday Event:

Smiles All Around!

Our Project Angel Wings Holiday Program brought smiles to thousands Title I school of students and families living in historically underserved neighborhoods across LA County.  For many families, this support was the only gifts their child will receive this holiday. The holiday festivities didn’t stop there! Co-sponosred by Snapchat and the Weinstein Family, students enjoyed: Face painting, our two amazing DJs, dance contests with prizes, a fun Photo booth, special crafts, and LOTS of toys and gifts for students (Each child was gifted with a personalized bag FULL of toys and gifts!) for a very special visit from our own Santa (thank you again, dear Mark Kramer!)  Check out the amazing video documenting the day on Instagram!

It’s Not Too Late!

Make An End-of-Year Donation before the New 2026 Charity Tax Law Begins

There are a couple of important reasons why making a gift before the end of this year can be especially meaningful—both for you and for the children and families we serve.

First, the value of charitable deductions is changing. Right now, donors in the highest tax bracket may receive a 37% tax benefit on charitable gifts. Beginning January 1, that benefit will be slightly reduced. While the difference may seem modest, it means that a gift made by December 31 can stretch a little further on your tax return than the same gift made next year.

Second, new deduction thresholds are being introduced. Starting next year, charitable contributions will only be deductible once they exceed 0.5% of your adjusted gross income. This requirement does not exist today, making the current year a simpler and more flexible time to claim the full benefit of your generosity.

What this means for you:
If you were already considering a gift to the Children’s Lifesaving Foundation—or to any causes close to your heart—making that contribution before year’s end may be both a wise financial decision and a powerful way to create immediate impact. Your generosity today helps ensure that children and families can step into the new year with hope, stability, and opportunity.
