A Living Resource Guide for Families, Youth & Community Members

This evolving guide brings together local restaurants, delivery services, nonprofits, food banks, and community-led support networks offering free or reduced-cost food assistance across Los Angeles. We will plan to update this post regularly. 

How to Use This Guide

This living document is designed to be:

  • Easy to update as service availability changes

  • Shareable for CLF families, partners, and volunteers

  • Flexible for newsletters, Instagram carousels, blog posts, and resource handouts. 

  • Supportive of CLF’s mission to uplift families with real-time, accessible assistance

Restaurants Offering Free or Reduced-Cost Meals

These LA-based restaurants and pop-ups have offered free meals, sliding-scale options, community nights, or reduced-cost dishes. We recommend you call the establishment prior to going to ensure they are still offering reduced or free meals:

Delivery Services Supporting EBT/SNAP Customers

  • Instacart – 50% off grocery orders for active SNAP users; also running donation drives for 300+ food banks.

  • GoPuff – Donating up to $10 million in free groceries via $50 credit for SNAP recipients.

  • DoorDash – $0 delivery + $0 service fee on one order from participating SNAP-enabled stores when an EBT card is linked.

Community Food Programs & Food Banks

The Dream Center

  • Free meals served three times daily, seven days a week; outdoor pantry available Monday–Friday.

Fearless LA Church

  • Weekly grocery drives supporting families facing need, emergency relief, or displacement.

All Peoples Community Center

  • Emergency groceries for low-income households in South Central LA.

Food Not Bombs – Los Angeles Chapter

  • Free plant-based meals every Sunday evening at Maple Ave & Sixth St.

  • Offers $50 emergency SNAP funds to eligible households; widely used by 5+ million SNAP recipients.

WIC (Women, Infants & Children Program)

  • All California WIC offices remain fully operational and unaffected by recent changes.

  • Discounted produce boxes for $9 at select Gelson’s stores via the Flashfood app.

Everytable – Pay It Forward Wall

  • Customers purchase meals for community members in need; redeemable via posted notes in-store.
