Winter Update from CLF
The Children’s Lifesaving Foundation is really looking forward to an exciting 2023, and we have some great new initiatives and expansions happening:
We were so pleased to find out this week that CLF received a fantastic new grant from the California Coastal Commission-to expand our newly revamped “Coastal Eco-Mariners Surf Camp” component-within our Camp for all Program! This grant will allow us to collaborate with friends at USC’s Sea Grant Program, impart valuable, marine and eco-awareness lessons using art and theatre techniques, and continue with our surf therapy lessons-for underserved youth across Los Angeles. Camp for All is also supported by the McHugh-O’Donovan Foundation, the Oder Family Foundation, the Carrie Estelle Doheny Foundation, Rags for Riches, the City of Malibu, the James Joseph Ford Foundation, and so many other individuals and private companies. If you are interested in volunteering with us this summer, please reach out today!
CLF is in talks with amazing new friends at the Gentle Barn in Santa Clarita, and hope to be embarking on some amazing, healing field trips and animal education, for underserved students from our various partner organizations.
Our Care through College Scholarship Program will be ramping up again, to provide college scholarships to the youth in our Vita Network Program-and beyond! Did you know that you can create a memorial scholarship, or one ion your family’s or company’s name! It’s true! Help CLF support more future college graduates: Go right here to find out more…
Please reach out also if your company or school group would like to support our work! We have some great ideas, and great examples of how past groups and corporations have done so!
CLF is continuing to distribute inkind donations from our amazing friends and companies (like OSEA Skincare!) out to different partner agencies, as well as the youth in Los Angeles we serve…
We want to thank everyone for your terrific support! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any ideas or thoughts…
